Jake Hertzog




Jake Hertzog is a multi-genre award-winning guitarist, composer, songwriter and educator currently
based in New York City. He has five critically acclaimed jazz records as composer and leader.
He has contributed over 30 instructional jazz guitar articles to Guitar Player magazine under the alias "Hey Jazz Guy" and has taught workshops across the US, Europe and India. Jake holds a performance degree from Berklee College of Music and a masters degree in jazz performance from The Manhattan School of Music in New York.

Juampy Juarez


Celebrated as one of South America's most important guitarists, Juampy Juarez has performed with
some of the world's greatest musicians for over 25 years including Ben Monder, Pedro Aznar and
Howard Alden. Juampy's work as a bandleader ranges from his Thelonious Monk tribute album (SouthMonk) to 12 Tone jazz. He has authored four books on contemporary jazz techniques such as
counterpoint and polyphonic improvisation and contributed 23 teaching-artist videos for Mike's MasterClasses. Juampy is a faculty member at EMU Music School in Buenos Aires, Argentina.

Byron Sanchez



He began his studies at the age of 13 years.
It develops as a session musician with various groups in the city of Medellin
(Colombia).

He began his career alongside musicians like Jairo Gomez, Mario Restrepo,
Nestor Gomez, among others. He studied with Eugen Uman (USA), Jorge Triana (Cuba)
Ben Monder (USA), Mike Stern (USA), Jonathan Kreisberg (USA), Gilad Hekselman
(USA), Mike Moreno, among others.

He has participated in various festivals in the city of Medellin, Bogota and United States
as a sideman for artists as Pablo Ablanedo (Argentina), Claudia Gomez (Colombia),
Miguel Botafogo (Argentina), of the Antiochian artist Naki city of Medellin.

Byron Sánchez Quartet has been present at major events city
Medellin as it was last MedeJazz 2014. He has been invited to festivals
as in Venezuela Naguanagua Jazz Fest, Jazz in the Park in Bogota as guest
Argentina National and the Festival de La Plata Jazz Fest.

Recorded his first musical work in 2011 called EXPRESION, where he was
accompanied by musicians: Nicolas Guevara on drums, Federico Ochoa on saxophone
and Felipe Gomez on bass.

In 2014 he recorded his second album ENTRE LINEA accompanied by the
Nicolas Guevara musicians on drums, Lucas Tobon in the tenor saxophone and Felipe Gomez bass, thus forming BYRON SÁNCHEZ CUARTETO.

Wallace Seixas


Guitar player, guitarist, music teacher, arranger, composer and pedagogue, Wallace
Seixas was born in 1980 in Recife (PE). He won his first instrument at age four and
always showed aptitude for music. He has recorded and performed with big names
music, in several Brazilian states and outside the country in Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, France,
Portugal, Spain, Rome, Belgium, England and Holland at universities, Jazz Club,
international festivals, among others.

Graduated in full degree in Education from the University of Acaraú Valley (Recife,
2009) and Postgraduate (Lato Sensu) in music teaching methodology in IBPEX / Facinter /
FATEC International at (Pernambuco, 2011). He graduated from the AT & T (School of Music and
Technology, São Paulo, 2004), majoring in Jazz at IG & T (Institute of Guitar and
Technology with Djalma Lima, São Paulo, 2004). She studied singing, keyboard and conducted in
Baptist Theological Seminary of Sacred Music North Northeast of Brazil (Recife / PE, 1999).

Currently, Wallace Seixas is attending Degree in music in Unis MG. he ministers
courses, workshops and clinics of guitar and guitar on harmony, improvisation and rhythms
Brazilians. In addition to playing his compositions and arrangements with his group, he plays in the group
Presbyterian Church of Grace (IPG), accompanies the singer CHRIS NOLASCO / PE and CAMILLA
INÊS / BSB. He has a book called COMPOSITIONS AND ARRANGEMENTS launched in Europe

Esteban Ramos








Esteban Ramos is a guitarist and plays a modern jazz style. Not forgetting the sound of the bebop generating interesting sonorities. He currently works as a teacher at his school "Mi Espacio de Musica e Imagen", in his hometown Villa Mercedes, San Luis, Argentina. He composite music for films. He produces his own shows, where he brings musicians from different provinces of Argentina and the world. He played with great musicians: Juampy Juarez, John Stowell, Jake Hertzog, Toti Morel (Paraguay), Oscar Giunta among others. A participated in jazz festivals in Río Cuarto, Córdoba, in two editions of the Asunción Paraguay Jazz Festival, at La Plata Jazz Festival.

Ezequiel Ocampo




Guitarist, music teacher and composer. He was born in Laprida, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He started playing the guitar at the age of 14. His first influences were blues, rock and heavy metal. At first he was self-taught, since there were no music teachers that could teach him what he wanted to play. At the age of 16, he decided to study with proffesors from other cities sporadically and when he turned 20 he began his jazz studies. His main role models were Pat Metheny and George Benson until he came in touch with Allan Holdsworth's music through a friend. From that moment on, his persperctive of the guitar changed forever. He turned to several books and teachers of higher and higher levels while he was recording guitars as a sessionist and performing for different artists. Nowadays, at 29, he teaches guitar playing, composes, investigates and studies tirelessly.
